- Could be that the drive motor for the platters is no longer spinning
- up becaus eit is dead or the drive has a stiction problem. I had a 105
- quantumm the old full hight 3.5 that was like that. To check it turn off
- the system and remove the drive but leave all cables connected and power
- the system up you should feel the platers start to spin up if not try to
- give them a spin by hand if you can get at the shaft exteranly if not it
- could very well be toast so call the manufacturer and see if the can fix
- it if not you will have to check with one of the places that repairs
- drives, but witht he price of new drives it could be cheaper to buy a new
- one if so and it is astiction problem get a new one and the take this
- one apart hook them all back up and give the platters a spin by hand and
- copy eveything to the new drive ASAP!!
